Uberconferance from Firespotterlabs says “Where all the people in San Francisco”. Yes in a crazy and wacky style, Uberconferance launched with their non-tech styled videos. The video shows how all people in San Francisco have gone missing because they are busy Uberconferencing.
The video is amusing and indeed a shift from the typical startup launches. It is irrelevant yet humorous to the bone! Hope our startups become more creative and give us some real entertainment.
I have been reading about Uberconference and did actually go out and tried their app. It was brilliant and spotless. The interface was sleek and just had what I needed during a conference. Most often I have faced severe disconnections from phone or even Skype, so I am all game to give Uberconference a shot! You guys also go ahead and try the app. It has an amazing feel good UI. It just works!!

Uberconference is a product of the chaotic minds at Firespotter Labs, the winners of TC Disrupt Battlefield 2012. Uberconference is a great app for those who have been suffering from broken audio conferences. And yes the painful part is hankering for numbers and PIN codes. With Uberconference, you can just dial onto the conference number, and this is automatically synced with your phone number. There are some helpful tools that make conferencing a “breeze”.
Uberconference has Box and Evernote file sharing services integrated. So you Uberconferencing and you want to share files. Sync your Box and Evernote to the app. With a click, you can allow Evernote and Box, browse files and share. The files are generally seen as a thumbnail and it can be any kind of file.
CEO Craig Walker told Techcrunch, “the Box integration took a couple of months to complete, but future integrations will be quicker. Our long-term vision is that there’s going to be more and more collaboration. This first iteration is file sharing – it’s not online editing – but that does make a lot of sense in the future,”.
